“We are delighted to have been given the opportunity join Rydalmere.
This club has ambitious plans - and there are things in place already, that will help to push the club on and make this one of the best community clubs in NSW.
The long term vision is very exciting and aligns with how we see football also, developing youth and integrating them into a successful first grade team to lead the push for achieving its goal of reaching National Premier League 1 status - that was one of the biggest factors in joining.
With the new pitch and stadium to come and a really solid infrastructure around the club - we can’t wait to get started.
Neil Jablonski will join as my first grade assistant and we can’t wait to work with the team and give them a platform to express themselves and improve and be successful whilst enjoying their football.”
The appointment of Gavin Rae follows the resignation of Head Coach Chris Camilleri.
Chris has made the difficult decision after six seasons at the club as both player and coach.
Winning the Under 18’s Championship in his first season as coach and believing in the development of promoting the young players.
"I’d like to thank everyone at the club for letting me be apart of the Lions family. I really do wish the best for the club and really am going to miss the place like you don’t believe. Even when I told my dad that this was on the cards, he was very sad and said Rydalmere Lions was like a family to the both of us."
On behalf of the club, we would like to thank you Chris for your time, effort and passion you have showed and displayed during your time at the club.
We wish you the very best in your future endeavours and know you have a great future with what lies ahead and hope to see you around the club in the future.
